Collect your car hire from Paris Gare de Lyon Rail station. Make your way to Sarlat with a stop along the way in Bourges which is an approximate 2.5-hour drive from Paris. Bourges is an enchanting medieval city set on Yèvre river and known for its half-timbered houses. This is the perfect spot for lunch while you marvel at the history of this small city. Afterwards, continue to your accommodation which is approximately 4 hours from Bourges. Take in the French countryside along the way with plenty of places to stop and explore. Check into your accommodation and enjoy the remainder of the evening at your own leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel and have the morning at your own leisure. In the afternoon, you will join a group tour and discover the villages of the Dordogne. Begin the tour by driving towards the beautiful village of Domme. With its trapezoid city plan, Domme is a bastide, or a fortified medieval town, adapted to the surrounding terrain, and thus falling short of the rectangular city plan characteristic to bastides. Then, drive to La Roque-Gageac and enjoy a peaceful cruise on the Dordogne River on board an authentic Gabarre to admire mighty castles that line the river. Finally, reach Beynac to admire the village and the castle. See architectural phenomenon, aided by nature, and discover more about the history of this unusual city. After your tour, enjoy the night at leisure.
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and begin driving to your next destination, Aix-en-Provence. However, no trip is complete without a stop in Montpellier along the way! Approximately a 4-hour drive from Sarlat, this up and coming university town is becoming more and more popular. Elegant buildings and medieval streets, Montpellier will never disappoint! Afterwards, continue further driving through Nimes, a hidden small village, to your accommodation in Aix-en-Provence which is an approximate 1 hour and 45-minute drive. Remainder of the evening at leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel and join your group tour of the magnificent French Riviera - Monaco, Eze & Nice! Begin with your drive to Monaco to see the Changing of the Guard in front of the Prince's Palace. Enjoy the panoramic view on the Mediterranean Sea from the rock of the principality of Monaco. Drive on the Monaco world-famous racetrack. Photo stop at the old Casino of Monte Carlo, facing the famous Hotel de Paris and Café de Paris and deluxe boutiques. Drive on the Corniche road to Eze. See the perfume factory Fragonard and the medieval village. Continue to Nice for visiting this symbol of the French Riviera: the old town, the Cours Saleya and the famous Promenade des Anglais. On the day, you will also enjoy your own free time for lunch at your own expense. Later, return to Nice and enjoy the remainder of the evening at your own leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel before joining tour group city tour of Nice. You will be captivated by the panoramic view extending from Nice to Esterel, overlooking the port and Mont Boron. You will also appreciate the ornamental waterfall. Stroll through the old town of Nice and discover the Palais de Justice, the Opera and the famous flower market on the Cours Saleya court (morning only). The old town is situated between the city center and the sea also called the " Vieux Nice ". After your tour, enjoy the night at your own leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel. After checking out of your hotel, you will drop your car hire off at Garde de Nice TGV station. End of services.
