This exclusive 3-day ANZAC Day on the Somme tour is tailored for Australian travellers, primarily focusing on the attendance at the Dawn Service on Anzac Day at the Australian National Memorial, followed by the French Memorial Service in Villers-Bretonneux. You will also visit the 1916 Somme Battlefields & Memorials, including Pozieres, Mouquet Farm, Thiepval Memorial to the Missing and more! This tour now includes entry and tour of Sir John Monash Centre, a museum and interpretive centre paying homage to the Australian servicemen and women of the Western Front.

Day 1
Paris - Amiens

Arrive at the meeting point: Corner of Rue Lafayette and Rue Riboutte. Depart Paris at 8:30 am and visit the 1916 Somme Battlefields, including Pozieres, Mouquet Farm, Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme, the Thiepval Interpretation Centre and the New Zealand Memorial of Longueval. A snack lunch is included today. Also, visit the Sir John Monash Centre, adjacent to the Australian National Memorial at Villers Bretonneux, which opened in April 2018. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel.

Day 2
Anzac Day

An early start today to attend the Dawn Service at the Australian National Memorial and afterwards, the French Memorial Service in Villers-Bretonneux. At the conclusion of the services, a visit to the Franco Australian Museum at the Victoria School in Villers Bretonneux has been included along with visits to Adelaide Cemetery and Le Hamel. A breakfast pack has been included today, instead of breakfast at your hotel, as you will not return to your hotel until mid-afternoon. Dinner is included tonight at the hotel.

Day 3
Somme Battlefields – Paris

Visit 1918 Somme Battlefields, including the 2nd Australian Division Memorial at Mont St Quentin and the town of Peronne to visit the Historial de la Grande Guerre. Return to Paris for drop off at Charles de Gaulle Airport at approximately 4:00 to 4:30 pm and city centre at approximately 5:00 pm (corner of Rue Lafayette & Rue Riboutte).
