Day 1
Bayeux

Independent arrival from the train station to your centrally located hotel based in the historic centre. Check in and have the remainder of the day at your own leisure.
 

Day 2
Normandy region

After breakfast at your hotel, make your own way to the city centre for your Gourmet Chef and Cider tasting tour. This tour takes you away from the crowded Normandy tourist sites and into the true traditions of the Normandy region. Your tour will first take you to one of the last traditional Camembert making farms in the region. There, accompanied by your own friendly English-speaking guide, you will be able to learn about the history and the techniques of Camembert making. Of course, tasting samples will be provided! Then, you'll be taken to a modern brewery where you will learn how cider is produced. At the end, you will be able to sample and taste different varieties of cider.

Normandy region

Breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, prepare for a full day Normandy tour that includes heritage, village life and culinary feats. Accompanied by your English-speaking expert/driver, you will discover the culinary hotspots and the world-world-famous Bayeux Tapestry. You'll also visit an orchard where you will try different kinds of ciders and bring your favorites back home. Apart from food, the Pays d’Auge also has a lovely little village with a quaint architecture.
