Your gastronomic adventure starts in Strasbourg, the capital city of the region with a mix of French and German cultures. During your 3-night stay in Alsace, enjoy local specialties and explore the city in a fun and informative way. Discover the renowned Alsace Wine Route and visit the storybook villages and towns of Colmar, Obernai, Eguisheim and Riquewihr. Taste some of the most exquisite wines of the region along the wine route. Finish your Alsace adventure with a visit of the historic Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, a medieval castle located in Orschwiller. Then, travel to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Lush vineyards, rich history and outstanding wines await you during your stay in Burgundy. Visit the most popular wine-growing regions and villages including Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, Hautes Côtes de Nuits, Meursault Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Romanée-Conti.

This morning, you will meet at the meeting point in Strasbourg for your tour to sample the flavours of Strasbourg on Market Day. Discover the city of Strasbourg in a fun and informative way as you taste some of the best gastronomic produce of Alsace. After some free time, you will meet at a centrally located point in Strasbourg for a wonderful snapshot of Alsace wines. Depart along the Alsace Wine Route to discover some of the most fascinating wines of France. During this tour, you will enjoy wine tastings at 2 wineries and discover all there is to know about the 7 different types of Alsace wines. You will return to Strasbourg in the early evening for your overnight stay.
This morning, you will be picked up in Strasbourg and depart for the beautiful town of Colmar. Discover the charm of the old town, its prestigious monuments, the Pfister house, the Koïfhus, Saint Martin collegiate church, and the picturesque neighbourhoods. Then, depart for the village of Eguisheim. After a walk in the village, continue on to the beautiful town of Riquewihr, which is surrounded by ramparts. The village has been very fortunate to survive war and destruction. Its tiny streets, fortified walls and old houses have preserved their 16C splendour virtually intact, making for remarkable architectural harmony. Here, you will have some free time for lunch before we continue on the spectacular Alsace ‘Wine Route’. Your final stop is the mighty Haut Koenigsbourg castle, which you will visit for a guided tour.
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Beaune. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. This charming historic town is a true delight for architecture and wine lovers. Beaune can be easily explored by foot since most of its main attractions are located within the walls.
This morning, you will be picked up from the Tourist Office of Beaune for a full day tour of the Côte de Beaune wine growing region. Begin your tastings with Butter-Golden Meursault. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting session around these elegant white wines. After some free time for lunch in or around Meursault, drive back to Beaune for a guided tour of the Hospices de Beaune. The Last Judgment triptych painting by Flemish painter Rogier Van Der Weyden is the highlight of the visit. You will tour the Salle des Pôvres, the kitchens, the pharmacy and other rooms exhibiting artifacts and tapestries. From here, you will experience a unique wine tasting session within Beaune. You will be warmly welcomed for a visit the cellar and winery. Enjoy a tasting of different appellations such as Saint-Aubin, Auxey-Duresses, Saint- Romain, Corton-Charlemagne while several Premiers Crus and Grands Crus, both red and white, are available. Return to the drop off point, Beaune Tourist Office, in the late afternoon.
This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast. Today, you will wander through the prestigious vineyards of the Cote de Nuits, the land of Pinot Noir. The first stop will be in a family owned winery and you will be introduced to the notion of “terroirs”, which are very diverse and distinct in this particular area. After your wine tasting session, the tour moves on towards the village of Gevrey-Chambertin where you will have some free time before you continue onto Chateau Clos de Vougeot, which does not produce wines anymore but still remains a symbol of more than a thousand years of history in Burgundy. Return to Beaune in the later afternoon for your overnight stay.
Following check out of your hotel, your tour will end.
