Visit the region's famous vineyards, taste exquisite wines, discover famous chateaux and historic monuments during your boating holiday.

The waterways in the South of France paint bands of blue across green vineyards and vibrant colourful towns, merging to create a path to utter relaxation as you stop to savour picturesque Ventenac, Le Somail, Homps and Trèbes. Your Canal du Midi cruise spans the Languedoc and the Camargue, two of the most sumptuous places in the entire world. You'll glide on through the peaceful glassy waters with confidence knowing that the Canal du Midi area is easy to navigate and a great route for beginners.

The Canal du Midi cruising season lasts from 01 April - 31 October 2020, and then from 01 April - 29 October 2021.

Explore Narbonne's quaint  atmosphere with a Spanish twist. Visit the Narbonne Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace dating back to the Roman era.

Sallèles d'Aude

Visit Sallèles d'Aude and find the quirky Chapel of St. Roch and Le Calvarie. There are grocery stores, restaurants, and bakery in the village center.

Le Somail

Book lovers will be in heaven at Le Trouve Tout du Livre in lovely Le Somail. It's also home to nice canal side restaurants, artist studios and a grocery store.


Ventenac-en-Minervois is noted for its waterside cellar at the stunning Château de Ventenac-en-Minervois. Tour the cellar and sample wines for free.


The village of Paraza is famous for its Chateau which produces excellent wine. Stop for a wine tour and tasting.


See the astonishing village of Roubia blessed with a charming old stone church and tower.


Wander around the narrow cobbled streets of Argens-Minervois and see the legendary towers of a 14th century château.


Arrive in Homps and take a tour of the local vineyards, sample quality wines, and let the kids enjoy all kinds of watersports at Lac de Jouarres.

La Redorte

Touch down La Redorte, a pretty and leafy town built around a grand Chateau which has been transformed into a luxury hotel with an excellent restaurant.


Discover Puicheric, a medieval village with a lovely church and a major hub for watersports – you can hire canaoes or kayaks on the adjacent River Aude.


Enjoy the scenery at Marseillette, famous for growing rice and for its magnificent clock tower at the centre.


Visit the wonderful cooking school in Millepetit and learn how to create classic French cuisine with a modern twist!


See the breathtaking Carcassonne, a UNESCO-listed, fortified citadel with 3km of ramparts, a castle, cathedral and shops and restaurants.


In Trèbes, try some excellent local produce including wine, olives, jams and confits, then experience the charming landscapes of Cavayère Lake.
