This carefully crafted, laid-back tour begins in Bordeaux, a perfect destination to be introduced to the subtleties behind the art of food & wine pairing. A gourmet tour of Bordeaux, a wine-blending workshop, visits and tastings at Grands Crus wineries, and several delicious meals will be on your program in this part of France. In Northern Spain, reach the foodie town of San Sebastian, which is internationally acclaimed for its sophisticated culinary pleasures and where no less than 9 Michelin starred-restaurants are present. Here, a hands-on cooking experience, a scrumptious Pintxos bar crawl and a tour of the Rioja wine region are just some of the local gourmet tours that you get to experience.

Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
This morning, depart for a guided walking tour of Bordeaux. In the afternoon, head towards the Medoc. You will follow the ‘Château Road’ that is lined with some of the most famous wineries of Bordeaux. Enjoy two Grand Cru wine tastings. Return to Bordeaux in the evening.
After breakfast, tour the famous village and the underground monuments of Saint-Emilion. Free time for lunch. This afternoon, visit a Grand Cru Classé of the Saint-Emilion appellation and learn techniques to make the wine. Free time and dinner on your own.
Today, you will explore Bayonne located south of Bordeaux. The day will focus on local produce that made the town so famous: ham and chocolate. In the morning, take a tour andtasting of the famous ‘Jambon de Bayonne’. After free time to explore, head towards the local chocolate workshop for a tour and tasting. You will then head to morthern Spain and the city of San Sebastian. This evening, enjoy a unique experience in a pintxos bar crawl where you will be introduced to a culinary feast as you go from bar to bar with food ranging from modern to traditional.
This morning, take a guided tour to one of the central markets in San Sebastian where you will meet with local farmers and choose from a variety of seasonal products. Then, proceed to one of San Sebastian’s numerous private gastronomic Clubs, help prepare some of the dishes you will taste with the products purchased at the market. After lunch, the rest of the day is free for you to explore San Sebastian.
Today, you will explore Spain’s famous wine region of La Rioja. You will have the opportunity to taste two wines from the estate. After the tour, we will make our way to the village of Laguardia. Here, enjoy free time for lunch and an afternoon to explore the medieval narrow streets. This, evening you will finish your tour in a ‘sagardotegi’, a cider house found in the Basque region of Spain that also serves traditional food.
