Continue to Puglia to take part in a guided tour of Trani and Polignano a Mare, followed by a cooking class in an ancient masseria or Apulian farmhouse. Visit the UNESCO-protected site of Alberobello, famous for its unique houses called trulli, and then move on to Bari to taste wines, mozzarella cheese, and extra virgin olive oil. Journey to the medieval city of Matera to sample authentic focaccia in a very old bakery. Delight in a sumptuous farewell dinner before concluding your unforgettable trip.
Join a group transfer from Rome Fiumicino airport to the ancient Roman town of Sulmona. Check into your hotel and relax before the welcome dinner.
After traditional breakfast, you will discover the Confetti (sugarcoated almonds) Museum. After confetti tasting, you’ll discover Sulmona and see the Roman aqueduct on Piazza Garibaldi and the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata with its majestic bell tower. In the late afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting class with a professional sommelier.
Following breakfast, you’ll drive across the Abruzzo Mountains and through National Parks to the ancient Roman town of Vasto which is located on the Adriatic Coast. You’ll be staying here for the next 3 nights. In the afternoon, join a guided tour of Vasto’s historic centre. Dinner will be in a traditional restaurant.
This morning, visit the weekly market to get seasonal products, you'll have an exclusive cooking class with a housewife in her house and learn how to make pasta. Lunch will be the dishes you have prepared in the morning. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
After breakfast, you'll explore the Abruzzo coastline and have a fish cooking demonstration on a traditional trabucco fishing house. After lunch, the host will show you how to fish from the trabocco.
In the afternoon, drive to the little hilltop village of Lentella at Ettore’s “Fattoria d’Arte”(Ant farm). You'll have an artistic experience with Ettore where you may create your personal postcards or a little sculpture. In the evening, you'll have an aperitif and dinner with Ettore.
This morning, you'll make your way to Puglia where you'll have a guided visit of the beautiful town of Trani. In the afternoon, join a guided tour of Castel del Monte and a walking tour in Conversan followed by dinner.
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Polignano a mare and its wonderful sea, followed by a visit to an ancient masseria (typical Apulian farmhouse) in Monopoli for a cooking class with traditional recipes. Lunch will consist of the scrumptious dishes that have been prepared during the morning's cooking class. This afternoon, join a guided tour of the UNESCO site of Alberobello.
This morning, you will enjoy a guided tour of Bari visiting San Nicola’s church, Frederick II’s castle and the city centre followed by a visit to a small olive oil mill in the countryside of Gioia del Colle.
Today, you’ll enjoy focaccia tasting in Altamura, a town famous for its DOP bread, and a guided tour of spectacular Matera and its UNESCO site “the Sassi” (cave houses and rocky churches where time seems to stop). This afternoon, you will have free time for lunch and to explore the city on your own. Tonight will be the farewell dinner.
After breakfast, leave for Bari airport or your next destination.
