Explore the port city of Genoa, Italy’s largest seaport and the capital of the Liguria region. The city is brimming with stunning art and notable architecture. Visit the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the opulent Royal Palace of Genoa and Palazzo Rosso. From Genoa, board the train until you reach La Spezia. From La Spezia, venture to the famous Cinque Terre. It comprises of five villages: Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore and Vernazza, which are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also visit the picturesque fishing village of Porto Venere.

Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Genoa.
After breakfast at the hotel, your voyage of discovery begins with a private city tour. The 113-hectare historic centre of Genoa is one of the most extended medieval historic centres of Europe and is the most densely populated. The Genoese historic centre is a maze of alleys (caruggi) that unexpectedly end up in small squares, that, as well as the churches that dominate them, belonged to important noble families. Balance of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Genoa.
After breakfast, own transfer to the train station and board your train to La Spezia. On arrival, own transfer to the hotel and check-in. In the afternoon, meet the guide and walk through the city centre. Lunch at leisure – typical cuisine (farinata, panigacci, fried anchovies). Overnight in La Spezia.
This morning, you will make your own way to the central station of La Spezia and travel to Riomaggiore. Discover this village which is characterized by high and colourful houses, winding alleys and tiny squares. After your visit, you will proceed by the Cinque Terre express train to Vernazza, "La Perla" of the Cinque Terre. The village is located in a splendid position, perched on one spur surrounded by the sea. The colourful houses, the medieval fortifications and the church of S. Margherita constitute an urban-architectural complex which is amazing to see. The small square overlooking the sea is one of the most evocative of the Cinque Terre. Continue by ferry boat, allowing you to admire the entire coast of the Cinque Terre from the sea. Upon arrival in Porto Venere, you'll disembark and explore the village that inspired many poets including Lord Byron. Porto Venere is located on a rocky outcrop dominated by the famous Church of San Pietro, one of the most magical places in the whole Liguria. Return by boat to La Spezia and make you own way back to the hotel.
This morning, you will make your own way to La Spezia dock for your departure by boat to Manarola. Upon your arrival, visit the village which is stained with bright colours and set among the green of the terracing vineyards. Proceed by the Cinque Terre train to Monterosso, the "biggest" of the Terre. In the afternoon, visit the Convent of the Cappuccini Friar before returning to La Spezia by the Cinque Terre express train. Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel.
