This tour will introduce you to the highlights of the region such as Acqui Terme, Casale Monferrato, Turin, La Morra, Albam Asti, Courmayer and Aosta. Depart from Milan and drive through the area of Monferrato until you reach Acqui Terme, a charming town known for the impressive ruins of a Roman acqueduct and La Bollente. Continue to Casale Monferrato, a town known for its well-preserved piazzas and palazzos. Your next stop is Turin, the capital of Piedmont and the first capital of Italy from 1861 to 1865. The city is packed with numerous palaces, piazzas, cathedrals and museums. Explore the Royal Palace, the Basilica of Superga, Piazza Castello and Mole Antonelliana. Make a short stop to La Morra, a wine village known for producing Barolo wines. Your Piedmont adventure continues in the beautiful Langhe region, famous for its truffles, wines and cheeses. Then, head to Asti, a city known for its exceptional food and sparkling wines. Your last stops are Courmayer, a picturesque Alpine town at the foot of Mont Blanc and Aosta, the capital of the Aosta Valley region.

Depart Milan for the Monferrato area, in the south-east of the Piedmont region. Arrive in Acqui Terme, an old city founded by the Romans and famous for its original aqueduct. Continue to Casale Monferrato and finally Turin, the capital of the region.
Today is dedicated to visiting Turin. See the Palace of Venaria, a former royal residence, and continue to the Basilica of Superga, built at the beginning of the 1700s by command of the King of Sardinia Victor Amadeus II. After lunch, visit the downtown area to see the Piazza Castello and Palazzo Madama.
After breakfast, set off for La Morra and visit a typical Barolo wine cellar for a tasting. Continue to Grinzane Cavour to see the castle and Alba, famous for its white truffles and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Visit a shop to taste white truffle cream. Proceed to Asti, home of the sparkling wine Asti Spumante. Visit the downtown before returning to Turin.
Travel to Fenis to admire the medieval castle, and then Courmayeur, an alpine resort at the foot of Mont Blanc. Continue to Aosta, once an important Roman settlement that retains a charming historic centre, before returning to Milan where the tour ends.
