Arrival into Milan Malpensa Airport, where you will take a private transfer to your hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel. Today, you will join your full day tour and discover Genoa, a city with a glorious past! Spend your morning in the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, which today is one of the most charming cities in Northern Italy. After free time for lunch, visit the colourful village of Santa Margherita Ligure on the Tigullio gulf, nicknamed the Dolphins Gulf, due to the large school of dolphins that are often spotted there. Here, you take a mini cruise to the charming fishing village of Portofino, a half-moon shaped, seaside village, whose beauty has been talked about through the centuries by writers and poets, such as Guy de Maupassant. The journey ends with the return by boat to Santa Margherita, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
Breakfast at your hotel. Today, you will use your 1-day Hop-on-Hop-off pass to discover Milan at your own pace in a modern double decker Milan Open Tour bus. This pass allows you to hop on and off the bus at any time, allowing you to visit monuments and museums for as long as you wish or to immerse yourself in the fashion and design districts , two main areas of excellence that make Milan famous worldwide.
Breakfast at your hotel. Be ready to experience the highlights of Northern Italy and Switzerland on this flexible and relaxing Lake Como and Bellagio Day Trip from Milan, including Lugano. See the very best of these places while in the company of a local English-speaking guide who will provide illuminating commentary throughout your experience, not to mention a 2-hour cruise along the lake! This is a unique opportunity to admire the breathtaking landscapes and see villas of the rich and famous all around the lake. After the tour, the bus will take you back to Milan’s city centre.
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and take a transfer to the train station where you will take a second-class train to Venice. Meet your transfer at the station and check into your Venice accommodation. Enjoy the remainder of the evening at your own leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel. Today, you enjoy a skip-the line tour and experience in full the grandeur of Venice still shining through its symbols: The Doge's Palace & the St. Mark's Basilica. The Doge's Palace & the St. Mark's Basilica are two among the symbols of Venice. But beside their stunning beauty and majesty, what really makes these places special are the stories and legendary characters behind them.
In the evening, be treated to a romantic Gondola Serenade along the Venetian canals with music and traditional Italian songs. The gondola will be shared with other passengers (max. 6 people) and you will visit Venice from the water point of view, along the Grand Canal and inner canals and guided by an original Gondolier in his distinctive striped shirt who will sing for you relaxing or romantic traditional Italian songs. After the gondola, go to a wonderful church to attend to a once in a lifetime concert. The church of San Vidal is certainly a must- stop to be included in your itinerary. In this place full of history and culture, a concert season has been taking place for 30 years.
Breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, join your group tour and sail past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the Lido famous beach resort. The boat arrives at Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Enjoy a 40-minute stop to visit one of the factories. The picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for its fishermen’s houses painted in bright colours. The stop will last 30 minutes. After a short sail of about 10 minutes, you will reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilisation in the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. The stop is about 30 minutes.
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and take your transfer to Venice train station. Here, you take your train to Bologna and transfer to your Bologna accommodation. Check in and enjoy the remainder of the evening at your own leisure.
After breakfast, get your appetite ready! This amazing Food & Ferrari Tour will take you to the boutique producers of parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and prosciutto. Visit Tivoli, an ancient resort area famed for its beauty and its good water, enriched by many Roman villas. The most famous one, of which the ruins remain, is Villa Adriana. Take a comfortable transport to the little town of Tivoli, located few kilometres from Rome, in a splendid natural environment between the Eternal City and the high hills to the east of Rome. The most remarkable architectural complex is Villa Adriana, dating from the Ancient Roman time, created in the 2nd century A.D. by the Emperor Hadrian. It combines different architectural styles from Egypt, Rome and Athens, in the shape of an “ideal city”. A visit to the villa cannot be missed. It is a masterpiece that uniquely brings together the highest symbols of cultures of the world in ancient times.
Then, you will discover the Renaissance-style Villa d’Este, a gorgeous palatial setting surrounded by a spectacular terraced garden. Enjoy the beauty of its cascades, water tanks, and fountains. Villa d’Este is a masterpiece of the Italian Gardens, decorated with a massive and impressive number of fountain nymphs, grottos and fountains inspired by the gardens of Babylon, one of the wonders of the ancient world. Return to Rome in the afternoon.
Breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, you will discover the beauty of Naples and visit Pompeii, one of the world’s most fascinating archaeological sites, on a full-day excursion from Rome. Have a full immersion back to the Roman times visiting ancient buildings, bakeries and temples and admiring priceless frescoes and mosaics.
