Discover Siena and Florence with a licensed tour guide

Marvel at the iconic structures of Bologna, Pisa and San Gimignano

Travel to Bologna, a historic city known for its Piazza Maggiore, a central square heaving with Renaissance structures. Visit Modena for a tasting of the balsamic vinegar before continuing to La Spezia, a busy port city on the Mediterranean Sea. Board a boat to see the stunning Cinque Terre and its pastel-coloured villages. Return to La Spezia and travel to Pisa, best known for its world-famous Leaning Tower. Next stop is the elegant city of Florence, home to many works of Renaissance art and architecture and historic landmarks, such as Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. The journey continues to San Gimignano, a hilltop town surrounded by 13th century walls, and then to Siena, a city in central Tuscany famous for its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, depart for Rome where the tour ends.

This tour starts from Venice and finishes in Rome.

Day 1
Venice - Bologna - Surroundings of Modena - La Spezia

Departure from Piazzale Roma in Venice bound for Bologna. Enjoy some free time to visit the symbols of the city, such as the imposing Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli and Garisenda towers. Continuation to the surroundings of Modena to taste the balsamic vinegar, one of the most famous Italian products in the world. Departure for La Spezia and hotel accommodation. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay. 

Day 2
La Spezia - Cinque Terre - La Spezia

Breakfast at the hotel and departure from the port of La Spezia to start the boat excursion to the Cinque Terre, one of the most pristine areas in Italy, a long stretch of rocky coast rich in bays and beaches bathed by a crystal clear sea and perched villages, included in 1997 by UNESCO in the "World Heritage" list. Arrival by boat in Porto Venere and continuation for Vernazza and Monterosso, the largest and oldest village in the Cinque Terre, divided into two parts, the old city and the new one. Return to La Spezia. 

Day 3
La Spezia - Pisa – Firenze

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Pisa. Visit the city of the Leaning Tower, a work of architecture unique in the world located in Piazza dei Miracoli. Early in the afternoon, continue to Florence. On arrival, visit the city historical centre passing through symbolic places, such as Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Hotel accommodation. Free dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to explore Florence, also called the “Cradle of Renaissance”, one of the most famous cities in the world, with its unique artistic and cultural centre. Possibility of optional tours, such as the visit of the Uffizi Gallery, the Academy Gallery or an excursion to immerse oneself into the scents and colours of the Chianti district. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay.

Day 5
Florence - San Gimignano - Siena – Rome

Breakfast at the hotel and at the scheduled time, departure bound for San Gimignano. Free visit of the small medieval city. Continuation to Siena and guided tour of the city built around Piazza del Campo, famous throughout the world for its architectural beauty and its particular “shell” shape. In the afternoon, departure for Rome and arrival at the city centre in the evening.
