Experience a week-long photography tour in the Mediterranean island of Sicily. Sicily is an island of contrasts, with its stunning coastal vistas and UNESCO World Heritage towns that are a melting pot of different cultures and architectural styles. You’ll never be short of ‘picture-postcard’ shots that capture the spirit of this exotic island. Combine your onsite and offsite lessons with a stunning villa accommodation that reflects the vibrant aura of the island. During your photography holiday, expert tutors will guide you, showing you the best Sicily has to offer and helping to improve your technique. Add to this some delicious, authentic food and fantastic local wine – and it’s a winning combination!
Meet at Catania Airport and join the group transfer to the villa where you can settle in, meet your teacher, chef and host and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.
After breakfast, you'll join your first photography session to ease you into the week, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will be set a small project to complete around the villa, and you will then chat about the results over a glass of Prosecco before dinner.
Today’s lesson will take place after breakfast and will focus on photographing local produce and the dishes prepared by the chef for lunch. After a delicious lunch, you’ll head out to photograph some fascinating local points of interest, such as archaeological site La Cava d’Ispica, where you can spend some time perfecting your technique. Return to the villa for dinner prepared by your chef.
This morning, you’ll have another photography lesson with your tutor, before lunch at the villa. In the afternoon, you’ll head to Modica, and then on to the stunning town of Ragusa, where you will have the chance to capture your own piece of classic Sicilian landscape. Tonight’s dinner will be at a local trattoria.
Following breakfast, you will travel to Siracusa, where you will have endless opportunities to photograph the beautiful coastal town. Following lunch at a local restaurant in Ortigia, the old district of the city, you will travel to Noto to explore this quaint town. Tonight’s dinner will be at the villa, prepared by your chef.
Following breakfast, spend the morning relaxing by the pool or in the grounds of the villa. For lunch, you will travel to a local restaurant in Marzamemi, a beautiful local village renowned for catching tuna. Spend the afternoon capturing the sights of this seaside village before returning to the villa for dinner.
Your final photography lesson at the villa will be followed by lunch. Enjoy your afternoon relaxing by the pool or in the grounds of the villa. In the evening, share your best photos from the week with the group, before a special farewell dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to Catania Airport for your onward journey.
