Day 1
Biar

From Alicante-Elche Airport, take a short transfer to your first hotel in the beautiful historic town of Biar.

Top tip: Arrive early enough to enjoy the hotel's pool! (opens from last week of May to last week of September)

Biar - Bocairent

This morning, you will pick up your bike and enjoy a pleasant cycle along small, quiet country roads and dirt roads in the Vinalopó Valley amongst vineyards and olive trees. You will reach the undiscovered Arabic town of Bocairent, a historic hill-top village with houses carved from the rock.

Bocairent - Alcoy

Today’s cycle takes you through the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park: an area characterised by the abundance of aromatic and medicinal plants. Have a good breakfast as there is a considerable climb! You will reach the typically Spanish town of Alcoy to spend the third night away from the usual tourist trail.

Alcoy - Villalonga

A day cycling along the valley of the Serpis River as it heads downstream towards the coast. Some of the cycle today is along a “Via Verde”, a network of railway tracks now converted to pleasant cycle routes.

Villalonga - Denia

From Villalonga, the route passes through pretty orange groves before arriving to the coast. Why not stop for a swim and a rest on one of the inviting beaches of Denia.

Denia - Javea

Enjoy one last cycle as it takes you from Denia to Javea, skirting the most important landmark between these towns: the Montgó Mountain. Your last night is spent in a fantastic beach-side hotel in the charming historic town of Javea. You can reward yourself with a chilled drink by the pool in the shade of a palm tree or spend the afternoon on the beach!
