Day 2
Salamanca

Few cities in the world can offer a city tour as packed with history and awesome spots that Salamanca can. This city of Castile and León is one the most beautiful World Heritage Cities in Spain. Stroll the cobbled streets of the historic quarter with your expert guide and discover its famous university—the oldest one in the Hispanic world and the third oldest university worldwide still in operation—and visit the Casa de las Conchas (“House of Shells”), an old urban palace in the Gothic style. Stop by the beautiful Main Square, a meeting spot for locals and travellers alike which merges with the overall university-atmosphere of the city and cannot be described better than “simply amazing”. There are so many places worth visiting in Salamanca that you will have to pick and choose after a short perusal with your guide in order to complete the tour: among the options there is the possibility to visit two cathedrals (not many cities have two cathedrals!), promenade across the Roman Bridge, visit the Orchard of Calixto and Melibea (a comely Arabic-style garden), the Dueñas nunnery, the San Esteban convent.

Day 3
Salamanca

A few kilometres away from the city of Salamanca, you find a sanctuary devoted to tradition and quality where all is consecrated to a product delicate as it is exquisite: 100% acorn-fed Iberian ham. There is no better way to discover this wonder for the senses than to visit this location totally focused on its production. Accompanied by an expert host, you will explore the local facilities and cellars where loins and sausages are made, such as the maturation cellars where the products remain for as much as 40 months developing all their flavour and aroma.  After discovering the whole of the process behind Iberian ham, you will meet the “ham cutter”, who will show you how to obtain the perfect slice and teach you how to best relish this premium product. Finally, after this course of slicing, an Iberian acorn-fed ham, lomo, chorizo and salchichón tasting paired with “Crianza” red wine will overrun your taste buds with indescribable pleasures.
