Take in the beauty of nature as you follow scenic trails

You'll visit the monumental town of Segovia, a World Heritage Site, and continue on with a visit to the historic towns of San Ildefonso and Sepulveda. You'll spend three exciting days having gentle walks in the foothills of the Guadarrama National Park and two more days exploring Duratón Canyon Natural Park using your special permit to access this protected area.

Day 1

Arrival at the world heritage city of Segovia. 

Day 2

Today, you will enjoy a city tour of Segovia. Discover its beautifully preserved roman aqueduct, impressive cathedral and 18th century castle. 

Day 3
Circular walk to Valsain

Take a short transfer San Ildefonso from where you begin a circular walk along the river Eresma to the mountain village of Valsaín. 

Day 4
Circular walk to “El Chorro” waterfall

Today’s walk takes you along forest footpaths to the “El chorro” waterfalls and on to the “Silla del Rey” viewpoint, combined with a visit to the famous palace and gardens of San Ildefonso. 10.5km / Climb: 464m. 

Day 5
Circular walk to Pradena - Gallegos

Take a short transfer to Pradena and walk along ancient drovers tracks through a stunning juniper forest to Gallegos. 15km / Climb: 420m. 

Day 6
Circular walk to Castilnovo - Sepulveda

Transfer to Castilnovo where there are fields of sun¬flowers and trek to the beautiful hilltop town of Sepulveda. 16km / Climb: 383m. 

Day 7
Circular walk to Duraton Canyon

Scenic walk in the Duratón Canyon Natural Park, following the river as it carves its way along the canyon. 16km / Climb: 367m. 

Day 8

This morning following breakfast, check out of your hotel. End of tour.
