It has the highest density of museums in the country with each site blending different elements, inspirations and disciplines for each craft. If you're not keen on museums, a walk through its pastel coloured old town is a great diversion. Stroll through the car-free streets, visit magnificent ruins, or linger for a while in the spirited Marktplatz or at the Basel Minster - the city’s Gothic Romanesque cathedral. The next day brings in excitement as you uncover the magical evergreen landscapes of Germany's Black Forest. Legend has it that the Brothers Grimm' fairy tales were inspired by this unique setting. Take a moment to appreciate Baden-Baden, one of Europe's stylishly sophisticated spa towns, before you gaze upon the combined Romanesque and Gothic style of Freiburger Münster, the famous 11th century cathedral in southwest Germany. In the third day, you'll journey towards Colmar where the canal and floral displays as well as Alsacian wines are sure to excite—the perfect way to conclude a culture-packed Swiss tour.
