Arrive in Bern to visit the magnificent Bernisches Historisches Museum containing Switzerland’s prestigious collection of history, archaeology and ethnography treasures. The famous art-historical museum also houses the iconic Einstein Museum dedicated to the life and work of Albert Einstein. From Bern you’ll travel to Montreux to discover its Mediterranean landscape and Belle Époque buildings. You’ll set off to Vevey to visit the fascinating Chaplin’s World, the former country estate of the Chaplin family converted to a museum with Hollywood-style studio capturing Charlie’s greatest films and the Manoir unveiling the family life of the legendary artist. The museum also has a park offering beautiful unobstructed views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Day 1
Zürich - Bern

Upon arrival, transfer via rail transfer from Zürich Airport to Montreux and make your way to your hotel. This afternoon, you can visit the "Bernisches Historisches Museum" (The Berne Historical Museum) which is one of Switzerland's most important cultural and historical museums. The museum hosts a general historical collection containing approximately 500,000 objects as well as the Einstein Museum. The integrated Einstein Museum presents a powerful presentation of the life and work of Albert Einstein and places it in the context of world history. Animated films and experiments illustrate the pioneering theories of this genius. An Audio Guide in nine languages as well as an induction headset and a Video Guide for deaf and hearing-impaired persons makes the Einstein Museum accessible to a wide audience.

Bern - Montreux

Breakfast at your hotel. Take a leisurely walk to the train station to board scheduled service to Montreux via Lausanne. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Montreux – Vevey

This morning, make your way to the train station and board the short train service to Vevey to discover the fascinating Chaplin’s World. On the former country estate of the Chaplin family, "Manoir de Ban" in Corsier-sur-Vevey, a whole new world around the man with the bowler hat has been opened. The London-born comedian spent the last 25 years of his life in Vevey.
