Experience the open-air cable car in Männlichen

Glowing sunshine, nostalgic chalets and dreamy belle époque hotels, the mountain village of Wengen is truly magical at every turn. Located in a wind-protected sun terrace in Jungfrau, Wengen offers pure mountain experience for the whole family. In the summer, you can try out its marked walking trails or go hiking, paragliding or canyoning. In winter, go on a family-friendly ski adventure in Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen or ride the open-air cable car. For the ultimate thrill, go on top of Europe with a visit to Jungfraujoch, the site of Europe’s highest altitude railway station. You may also visit nearby villages including the breathtaking Grindelwald and Mürren.

Day 1
Zürich - Wengen

Upon arrival, transfer via rail from Zürich Airport to Wengen via Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. On your arrival in Wengen, make your way to the hotel.

Day 2

The aerial cable way from Wengen to Männlichen has open-air balconies on their roofs. Passengers can enjoy the unique panorama of the majestic mountains throughout the journey. Reach the Männlichen upper station at 2,229 metres above sea level.

Day 3

Experience the breathtaking Jungfraujoch. The journey to the Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres - Europe’s highest altitude railway station - is a highlight of every visit to Switzerland. The Jungfrau Railways is an engineering masterpiece. The last section has been built inside the mountain itself, and the view through the panorama windows at the "Eigerwand" and "Eismeer" stations in the middle of the North Wall are a thrilling experience. The platform of the observatory is located right above the Aletsch Glacier. The "Alpine Sensation" a subway inside the rock marks the centenary of the Jungfrau Railway and connects the Ice Paradise with the Sphinx Hall. Other activities nearby include the Lauberhorn Trail and opportunities to explore nearby villages in the region including Grindelwald and Mürren.

Following breakfast, you will have a few hours at your leisure to discover more of this quaint town before your tour ends.
