Day 1
Zürich - Wengen

Arrive in Switzerland and transfer by rail to Wengen. Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 2
Lauterbrunnen Valley

Today's trail suggestion is located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. This undemanding, 4-hour trail from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg offers beautiful views of the valley and its waterfalls. There are also plenty of sightseeing and picnic opportunities along the way.

Day 3
Schynige Platte – First

Use the historic cogwheel train from Wilderswil to Schynige Platte to get to the starting point of the 15km long panoramic trail. This visually stimulating hike along the popular Faulhornweg, the ridge walk with bird’s eye views of Lake Brienz and past the most idyllic lake in the Alps – Bachalpsee, offers breathtaking panoramic views throughout.

Day 4
Eiger Trail

The Eiger North Wall is close enough to touch from the Eiger Trail and the various climbing routes to the notorious Eiger summit are easy to spot from the trail. The 6km trail – in parts quite steep – leads from Grindelwald Eigergletscher to Alpiglen.

Day 5
Männlichen – Grindelwald

The starting point is the restaurant on Männlichen. The 3-hour trail will lead you over open pastures, past alpine huts, down below the tree line to the spring pastures just above Grindelwald.

Day 6
First – Bachalpsee

This 2-hour hike offers everything a hiker’s heart desires: A magnificently landscaped path leads through lush flowering alpine meadows. On the opposite side of the valley, ice-capped four thousand metre mountains tower in the air. At the start of the hike, there is a short but considerable climb; however, it is worthwhile to tackle to discover the blue gem-Lake Bachalpsee.

Day 7
Mountain Trio

For a great view of the region’s mountain trio of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, head to Wengen and enjoy the hike up to the Kleine Scheidegg. The 2-hour and 45-minute route winds along wide but sometimes steep paths. At the top, you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama.

Day 8
Wengen - Zürich

After breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer via rail to Zürich airport or continue your onward journey.
