The calibre of a rodeo comes down to two things: the skill of the competitors and the quality of the horses, bulls and steers. The Stampede Rodeo features the world’s best competitors and animals. Every afternoon, cowboys and cowgirls face off in a furious display of skill and grit, with every win building towards Showdown Sunday, at the World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo.

The Calgary Stampede Evening Show is a unique entertainment doubleheader that takes place nightly. The blast of a klaxon kicks off the Cowboys Rangeland Derby chuckwagon races—excitement that’s measured on the Richter Scale. When the last wagon thunders over the finish line, the Bell Grandstand Show dazzles audiences with elaborate song and dance numbers, acrobatics, and concludes with a spectacular fireworks finale in the night sky!

Day 1 Calgary

Make your own way to the hotel and check in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2- 3 Calgary

Over the next two days we welcome you to the event most appropriately named “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. Included is one afternoon ticket to a rodeo with gate admission, and one evening ticket to the Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand show with gate admission, as well as 2 Skyrides over Stampede Park.

Rodeo
On the afternoon of day 2, the best of the best saddle-up for a three hour ground shaking showcase of world-class rodeo action. There are six exciting major rodeo events: bareback riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping and bull riding.

Rangeland Derby
On the evening of day 3, nine heart-stopping chuckwagon races explode in an all-out dash for the finish line. Chuckwagon racing is an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower - a challenge that ignites thousands of fans.

Grandstand Show
Following the Rangeland Derby is the outdoor stage spectacular. For 2 hours, you will be dazzled by the lavishly produced and choreographed non-stop musical variety grandstand show.

But it’s not just a static offer – you have complete flexibility from travel dates, passenger numbers, single supplements, room upgrades, optional extras, flexible booking terms and more.

A Confirmation from our reservation system will be sent in the coming days.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

Travel on a specific airline of their choice
Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
