Day 1 Depart London Victoria Station

Prepare to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District as you step aboard the Britannic Explorer at London Victoria Station. Life on board is an indulgent affair, beginning with a sumptuous Cumbrian Afternoon Tea, curated by Chef Simon Rogan and inspired by his own Cumbrian heritage with treats such as Kendal mint cake. As the afternoon unfolds, perhaps you will unwind with a restorative treatment in the Wellness Suite, or enjoy a cocktail or two from the Bar. The route to the Lake District takes you through the heart of England, winding through the picturesque landscapes of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

As night descends, take your seat for an exquisite dinner, curated by Culinary Curator Simon Rogan and Head Chef Alexander Wyn Lewis. The menu celebrates local, seasonal ingredients with innovative flavours, elevating your dining experience to new heights. After dinner, join fellow travellers in the Observation Car, where you can dance the night away to music while sipping a small-batch gin and tonic. Disembark for a morning excursion to Graythwaite Estate, a historic lakeside manor set amid gardens and ancient woodland. After elevenses, explore the grounds or choose from exhilarating activities such as off-road Land Rover driving, clay pigeon shooting or a RIB boat ride on Lake Windermere.

Return to the train to prepare for an exclusive visit to Simon Rogan’s farm, gaining insight into his farm-to-table philosophy before enjoying a seasonal late lunch.
