El Expreso de La Robla: Oviedo to Oviedo (Tour code: 14007)

Begin in Oviedo in the early afternoon, where the railway experience connected to the Camino de Santiago begins. Discover the city’s historic centre on a guided tour, with particular attention to the Cathedral and the Cámara Santa. Return to the train for a welcome toast before enjoying a catered dinner onboard as the journey continues towards Galicia. Travel overnight to Viveiro.

Arrival in Viveiro and breakfast on board. The day begins with the opportunity to undertake the first leg of the Camino de Santiago between Ferrol and Pontedeume, or to discover gems of the Galician coastline such as the Cabo de Estaca de Bares, Playa de Bares, and O Barqueiro. Free time for lunch (at own expense) and an afternoon reunion between pilgrims and passengers. Dinner (at own expense) and night in Viveiro.

Enjoy breakfast onboard as the train travels towards Ortigueira. From there, pilgrims continue their Camino journey from Pontedeume to Abegondo, while the rest of the group visits the Sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido and the coastal town of Cedeira. Reunite in the afternoon before enjoying dinner at leisure and an overnight stay in Ortigueira.

As guests enjoy breakfast, the train makes its way to Ferrol. From here, pilgrims will commence the third walking stage from Abegondo to A Calle, covering 25 kilometers. Non-walking guests will head to A Coruña for a morning of exploration and free time for lunch. In the afternoon, the group reconvenes in Ferrol, and the day culminates with a delightful dinner as a group. The night is spent in Ferrol.

After a hearty breakfast on board, pilgrims will be transferred by coach, where they will begin the fourth and final walking stage to Santiago de Compostela, a 27-kilometer trek. After arriving in Santiago, enjoy free time until the afternoon. Lunch will be at your own expense. Meanwhile, non-walking guests will travel directly from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela by coach, enjoying free time upon arrival. In the late afternoon, both pilgrims and tourists will reunite in Ferrol. The evening features dinner on board as the train departs for Oviedo, with an overnight journey back.
