Day 1
Toronto

Upon arrival in Toronto, transfer to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the sights of Canada’s largest city.

It's time to explore the city! Enjoy one pre-selected tours from our Freedom of Choice options:

  • Kensington Market & Chinatown Tour
    Skip the generic, tourist-trap sights and join this Toronto tour to see two of the city’s coolest communities. Hit Chinatown to see where China and Canada collide, then visit the Kensington Market area for graffiti, vintage shops, coffee houses, comic book stores, and everything else decidedly hip.

  • Toronto City Tour & Toronto & Island Boat Tour Combo
    Come and see the sights of Canada’s largest and most diverse city. City Tour highlights include: the Eaton Centre, Chinatown, CN Tower, and Old and New City Halls with an opportunity for pictures along the way. After your City Tour see a different side of Toronto aboard one of our sightseeing boats. The tour consists of a one-hour commentary tour of Toronto harbour and islands with an optional stop on Centre Island.

Day 3
Niagara Falls

Today, enjoy a full-day tour to the Niagara Peninsula. Canada’s fruit belt and major wine-producing region, home of the spectacular Niagara Falls - one of the great wonders of the world. Your tour includes the Hornblower Cruise or Journey Behind the Falls, lunch overlooking Niagara Falls, free time in Niagara Falls, and a winery tour including a wine tasting.

Day 4
Toronto → Ottawa | VIA Rail

Enjoy the facilities of the Business Class Lounge before boarding the VIA Rail train. Once on your way, the train follows the shores of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes of North America, to Trenton Junction, where the St. Lawrence River flows from the lake.

From Trenton Junction to Ottawa, the landscape is dotted with small villages, surrounded by maple forests and rich pasture land. The journey is approximately four hours. Upon arrival into Ottawa, take a short taxi ride (not included) to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Ottawa is not just the capital of the Canadian Government, it is also one of the most diverse cities in the world, offering everything from worldclass sporting events and shopping adventures, to museum and family activities. Ottawa has it all. Situated on the Ottawa River about 200 km (125 miles) west of Montreal, Ottawa is a unique mix of old and new, history and technology, excitement and relaxation.

Today is a free day to explore on your own.

Day 6
Ottawa→ Quebec City | VIA Rail

Your rail journey to Quebec City this morning takes you into rural Ontario, with maple forests and pasturelands, crossing into Quebec at Coteau where the rail line joins the Toronto-Montreal line.

Then following the St. Lawrence River, pass from city of Montreal suburbs to the rural landscapes of forests and rich pastures, dotted with tiny villages that extend to Quebec City. Many of the trees you view are maple trees, producing the great Canadian staple, maple syrup.

In Quebec, arrive at Gare du Palais, located near the harbour in the old town. Steeped in history, Quebec is the most charming city in Canada, almost 400 years old and most of the original architecture and buildings have been lovingly preserved.

Quebec City has a distinctive European atmosphere that visitors simply love. Explore ramparts, castles and museums or discover hidden gems, cafes and authentic French Canadian foods.

Quebec City → Montreal | VIA Rail

Departing Quebec from Gare du Palais, cross the mighty St. Lawrence River to the south shore, which the rail line follows for almost the entire journey to Toronto. The landscape is dotted with tiny villages, all with church spires, maple forests and rich pasture land.

This fertile land stretches most of the way to Montreal. After the small city of Saint-Hyacinthe, there is a dramatic change in the landscape, as the Monteregian Hills seem to appear out of nowhere. These huge volcanic mounds were formed over 120 million years ago and there are seven of these large hills in a row, including Mont Royal in Montreal.
