Your journey commences in the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver, famous for its backdrop of snow-capped mountains and glistening ocean waters. Board the Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf Service on the First Passage to the West rail route, heading eastbound towards Lake Louise.

Start the day taking in views of the Fraser Valley before being served a delicious breakfast that warms you to the core. From fertile greenery, the landscape transforms to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains. You'll see the mighty Fraser River and the raging whitewater of Hell's Gate.

On the second day, awaken your senses to the newfound surroundings. One of the many memorable landmarks between Banff and Lake Louise, Castle Mountain, is named for its imposing appearance, which early explorers compared to that of a medieval castle. Overnight at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Experience the power of glaciers up-close on a day tour that highlights the most unique attraction in the Canadian Rockies; the Ice Explorer Glacier Tour. Travel on a Ice Explorer onto an ancient glacier and step out onto ice that is deep enough to bury the Eiffel Tower. Stand in the sky at the Glacier Skywalk, a curved glass walkway that stretches 30 metres from the sheer face of a cliff and hangs mid-air. This tour is filled with exciting experiences, spectacular sights, intriguing stories and the best photo opportunities.

All aboard Rocky Mountaineer for the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. Departing Kamloops, follow the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake with its thousand miles of shoreline. Pass Craigellachie where the 'last spike' was driven, completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. Enter Rogers Pass with its tunnels, snow-sheds, and glistening Glaciers. The Kicking Horse River leads you to Kicking Horse Pass and the Spiral Tunnels.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

Travel on a specific airline of their choice
Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
Use their travel agent for this service
