Day 2 St. Paul’s Bay Marsaxlokk St. Paul’s Bay

Head south to Marsaxlokk, a charming fishing village renowned for its bustling market, where stalls overflow with fresh seafood, local delicacies, and seasonal produce.

Stroll through the market, sampling Maltese specialties along the way. Marsaxlokk is a very popular attraction for tourists and locals because fresh fish and seafood caught during the same morning can be bought. The market is very interesting and attractive as many different items are sold. Although the market was originally a fish market, it has developed and now it also sells locally produced honey, fruit jams, wine as well as vegetables, souvenirs and clothes.

Enjoy a seafood lunch at a traditional restaurant, known for serving some of the best seafood in Malta. Afterward, continue to one of Malta’s most prestigious vineyards for a guided tour. Discover the traditional wine‐making process, and enjoy an exclusive wine tasting experience featuring local grape varieties such as Gellewza and Grenache.

Begin with a guided food tour, stopping at historic eateries to sample authentic Maltese delicacies, including pastizzi, rabbit stew, and artisanal cheeses.

Alongside this culinary experience, explore the city’s history with a private guided tour of Valletta, visiting St. John’s Co‐Cathedral where you will see the painting ‘The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist’ by Caravaggio, considered one of Caravaggio’s masterpieces and the only painting signed by the painter and the Grand Master’s Palace, where you’ll dive into the island’s rich history.

Day 4 St. Paul’s Bay Mdina St. Paul’s Bay

Step into history as you visit Mdina, the Silent City, where medieval alleys transport you to another era.

Explore St. Paul’s Cathedral and venture into Rabat’s early Christian catacombs, gaining insight into Malta’s deep rooted religious traditions. Mdina, Malta’s ancient capital. It rests in a very majestic way, on top of a hilltop right at the centre of the island. Mdina is also called ‘The Silent City’ because of its literally quiet and narrow streets that give off a quaint yet very homey atmosphere. Mdina is not only considered to be one of Malta’s precious jewels, but this ancient walled city is one of the best medieval fortifications. You will see magnificent views of the entire Maltese landscape.

In the afternoon, visit Farsons Brewery, Malta’s most renowned brewery, to discover the craft beer production process. Explore the Farsons Beer Museum, then enjoy a beer tasting session, featuring a curated selection of Malta’s finest craft beers. Later, return to your hotel, dine at your leisure and relaxation.

Day 5 St. Paul’s Bay Gozo St. Paul’s Bay

Travel to Gozo, where the day begins with a visit to Victoria’s local market. Accompanied by a local chef, browse through stalls brimming with fresh seasonal ingredients, learning about Gozo’s culinary traditions. This tour allows you to fully immerse yourself in Gozo’s food culture while exploring the city’s charming historical streets and scenic viewpoints.

Following the market visit, head to a fully equipped professional kitchen, where under the guidance of an expert chef, you will prepare a traditional Gozitan meal using the freshest ingredients. Enjoy a lunch featuring authentic flavours, perfectly paired with local Gozo wines.

In the afternoon, continue exploring Gozo’s culinary heritage by visiting small family‐run cheese farms and olive groves, where you will taste freshly produced Gozitan cheeses and extra virgin olive oil.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

Travel on a specific airline of their choice
Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
