Day 3 Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most iconic and scenic wildlife destination. Located at the northern edge of the Serengeti ecosystem and blessed with a permanent water supply, the Mara supports a thriving population of plains game, further enhanced during the dry season by the dramatic migration of over two million wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti. Guests regularly encounter elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard—the famed “Big Five”—with opportunities to spot the rarer rhino, abundant hyena, and the swift cheetah. Giraffe, red-tailed monkeys, and a wide array of antelope complete this extraordinary spectacle.

Today, you may also choose from two Option Excursions* (additional charge) that offer an excellent introduction to and exploration of the area.

Option 1: Masai Village Visit
Gain an authentic insight into the culture and traditions of the Maasai, one of Kenya’s most iconic indigenous communities. During a game drive, stop at a village to experience their way of life firsthand. Be welcomed with traditional songs and learn about their warrior heritage, cattle-based livelihood, and unique practices such as fire-making. Visit their homes, known as Manyattas, built from natural materials, and discover how the Maasai maintain a close connection with both their livestock and the surrounding wildlife.

Option 2: Hot Air Balloon Safari
Begin this early morning adventure around 5:00–5:30am with a transfer from your camp to the launch site. As the sun rises, float silently above the Masai Mara’s sweeping plains, forests, and rivers for about an hour, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife below. Upon landing, celebrate with a traditional champagne bush breakfast before rejoining your driver-guide for a leisurely morning game drive. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience.

Day 4 Journey to the Serengeti

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at camp before transferring to Ol Kiombo Airstrip for your scheduled flight* to the Serengeti via Migori. Your flight departs at 08:15am, arriving at Migori Airstrip at 09:30am. From here, enjoy a scenic road transfer to the Kenya–Tanzania border, where you’ll complete customs and immigration formalities.

At 10:40am, board your Regional Aviation flight from Tarime Airstrip to the heart of the Serengeti. Touch down at Seronera Airstrip at approximately 11:45am, where you’ll be warmly greeted by your camp driver-guide. Enjoy a short game drive through the stunning wilderness enroute to the camp, where a delicious lunch awaits you.

Meaning “endless plains” in the Maasai language, the Serengeti epitomizes the classic African safari experience. Vast grasslands teem with millions of grazing herbivores and the predators that follow them, including one of the largest lion populations in Africa. As part of a vast, unfenced conservation area stretching into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Kenya’s Masai Mara, the Serengeti offers an unrivalled spectacle of wildlife on the move.

Conclude your day with an unforgettable afternoon game drive before arriving at camp at sunset. Relax, savour a delicious dinner, and retire for the night under the starry African sky.
