Your day begins early with a 3:00am meeting at the Holiday Inn in Amiens, where you will join your coach for the journey to Villers-Bretonneux.
At 4:00am, attend the Dawn Service at the Australian National Memorial, the most significant commemorative service of the day.
Following the service, remain at Villers-Bretonneux for a short guided walk through the cemetery grounds prior to the morning’s visits.
At 8:00am, visit the Sir John Monash Centre, offering an overview of Australia’s involvement on the Western Front. Afterwards, at around 10:00am, continue into the village of Villers-Bretonneux for a visit to the Victoria School and Museum. Due to traffic restrictions, the coach will park near the railway station and a short walk will be required.
Late morning, at approximately 11:15am, travel to the Le Hamel Australian Memorial for a guided visit, including interpretation of the Battle of Le Hamel and the final flight of the Red Baron.
At 12:45pm, continue to Pozières for lunch (sandwich, tart and one drink), followed by a visit to the trenches at Le Tommy, providing further insight into the Somme battlefield.
Arrive in Bullecourt at around 2:30pm. At 3:00pm, attend the commemorative service in the town centre, followed by the ceremony at the Digger Memorial Park at 4:00pm.
Depart Bullecourt at approximately 4:30pm, travelling via Albert before returning to Amiens, with arrival expected around 5:45pm.
Overnight stay in Amiens at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel.
