Hop on board a lovely vessel and start the journey from Juneau through Icy Strait/Cross Sound, where seals and sea lions live. Mount Fairweather’s majestic, snow-capped peaks will welcome you as you enter Glacier Bay National Park. Watch out for humpback whales leaping over the surface and for bears and wolves finding food in their natural habitats. An expedition team is ready to guide you if you ever want to go kayaking or trekking. Reach South Marble Island, a paradise offering great photo opportunities, home to rare sea birds, orange-beaked puffins, sea lions, mountain goats and other exotic species. Continue your adventure afloat and ashore, skiffing the bay and then hiking in boot-sucking mud across a glacial moraine. You will also have the chance to explore some parts of America’s largest national forest, Tongass National Forest. Finally, arrive at Haines, the adventure capital of Alaska, a city whose history is as captivating as its famous trails. Go hiking, biking, rafting, and take in nature’s beauty one step at a time whilst fulfilling your own curiosities. Before the trip ends, enjoy a delicious breakfast and a morning cruise back to Juneau.

Look out for kelp-lined channels to hemlock and spruce forests. And if the tides are right, head out in the skiff with one of the guides for a closer exploration of the rugged shore in search of marine life such as seals and sea lions.
