Cabins

After a day of exploring the Scottish Highlands, retreat to your private cabin aboard our luxury sleeper train. Then, let your mind wander as our train slowly travels to its stabling point for the night. A perfect night’s sleep awaits. 

The Royal Scotsman’s Twin Cabins are designed for space and relaxation. Lower cosy beds, ceiling fans and controlled heating ensure absolute comfort for you and your travel companion–no matter the weather. In the morning, lounge on your bed while gazing upon the extraordinary landscapes of Scotland, before disembarking to explore the Highlands. 

Double Cabins feature a comfortable double bed, a mahogany writing desk, a large wardrobe and a fully equipped ensuite shower room. Each interior provides a warm welcome after the day’s outdoor pursuits in the Scottish Highlands. Savour the unfolding countryside from the generous window. 

There are four Single Cabins that feature a lower bed, a wardrobe, a writing desk and an ensuite shower room. Splendid Scottish Highland views from your window are sure to inspire an entry or two in your travel journal during your luxury train journey. 

For the ultimate indulgence discover the new Grand Suites — Spacious interiors that are rich in references to Scottish culture. Suite's measure 12m² (including the ensuite) and feature a comfortable double bed, separate lounge/dining area and a bathroom complete with shower, basin and WC.
