Arrive in Calgary and make your way to your downtown hotel and settle in. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this vibrant prairie city or relax before your Rockies adventure begins.

Day 2 Calgary Banff

Learn about the geology, culture and wildlife of the Banff National Park while exploring the town of Banff and its surroundings. Depart downtown Calgary and travel west through the rolling foothills with the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the horizon. Upon your arrival into Banff you will visit such points as Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoo rock formations, before a stop at the Banff Gondola. At the top of Sulphur Mountain spectacular views await from the 360 degree observation deck. Complete the day with a historial tour of Lake Minnewanka on the Lake Minnewanka Cruise.

Day 3 Banff Lake Louise / Moraine Lake Banff

These stunning alpine lakes look too beautiful to be real. On this sightseeing tour you will visit the "Jewel of the Canadian Rockies", Lake Louise, and the world renowned Moraine Lake, both of which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of their priceless natural beauty. They'll stop you in your tracks in awe.

Wander the shoreline at Lake Louise and see the Victoria Glacier and the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel, and then snap some shots of Moraine Lake in the beautiful Valley Of The Ten Peaks. Join your guide for a short walk up the Rockpile at Moraine Lake, where you'll find the iconic view that was once on the back of the Canadian $20 bill. During the tour your guide will weave tales of the early mountaineers, who also fell in love with this spot in the 1890s.

Day 4 Banff Columbia Icefields Banff

Experience the power of glaciers up-close on this exciting tour that highlights the most unique attraction in the Canadian Rockies; the Ice Explorer Glacier Tour. Travel on a massive Ice Explorer onto an ancient glacier and step out onto ice that is deep enough to bury the Eiffel Tower. Stand in the sky at the Glacier Skywalk*, a curved glass walkway that stretches 30 metres from the sheer face of a cliff and hangs in mid-air. This tour is filled with exciting experiences, spectacular sights, intriguing stories and the best photo opportunities.

Day 5 Rocky Mountaineer: Banff Kamloops

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at Banff Station. Enjoy the spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior.

Today's highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Day 6 Rocky Mountaineer: Kamloops Vancouver

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station. On today's journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. You will arrive in Vancouver in the evening.

Day 7 Vancouver

Explore the urban elements of downtown Vancouver and immerse yourself in the wilds of Vancouver’s rugged North Shore. Combine the highlights of downtown Vancouver with a stop at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Drive by some of the most renowned sights including historic neighbourhoods, scenic beaches, and a picturesque harbour and learn how Vancouver became the city it is today. Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples’ Totem Poles, and spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge. Take in the jaw-dropping 360-degree view of the city and beyond from Vancouver Lookout's Observation Deck, and wander through the charming farmer’s market at Granville Island.

Day 8 Vancouver Victoria Vancouver

Experience the wild beauty of the Pacific Coast with the splendour of British Columbia’s capital city. This adventure highlights some of this region’s best features as you sail aboard a local ferry along the rugged coastline, past the Southern Gulf Islands before arriving on Vancouver Island. Continue your journey into Victoria’s downtown, where you can stroll through the cobblestone streets and the Inner Harbour. Downtown Victoria offers the chance to wander past the buskers lining the harbour, take a harbour ferry over to Fisherman’s Wharf, visit the haunting Bastion Square and explore some of the city’s oldest architecture. If you are looking to get something to eat, ask your tour guide about the best spots! Your next stop is the famous Butchart Gardens. This National Historic Site showcases 55 acres of garden displays. Explore the perfectly themed Japanese Garden, Sunken Garden and Rose Garden. See if you can find the elusive Todd Inlet for more stunning views. Then return home with a relaxing evening sailing with BC Ferry back to Vancouver’s mainland and on to your hotel.

The Freedom of Choice options are included in the package price, and the price remains the same regardless of the choice you make on each day.

Our Freedom of Choice program offers flexibility, by allowing you to choose from different options on pre-selected days in the itinerary.

What is Book Now?

Book Now offers you the ability to make a reservation on our website for Holiday Packages that include our Peace of Mind Booking Plan. But it’s not just a static offer – you have complete flexibility from travel dates, passenger numbers, single supplements, room upgrades, optional extras, flexible booking terms and more.

  • Our team will contact our overseas suppliers and confirm all arrangements.
  • A Confirmation from our reservation system will be sent in the coming days.
  • The Booking Number on this confirmation supersedes the website reference.

How secure is the Entire Travel Group's on-line payment portal?

  • Entire Travel Group have partnered with TravelPay to ensure secure on-line credit card payments.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

  • Travel on a specific airline of their choice
  • Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
  • Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
  • Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
  • Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
