Landscapes of Spain & Italy Journeys

A private transfer will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. 

At 19:00, meet with your Tour Director (TD) at the hotel´s Reception Desk for a welcome meeting. You will also meet your fellow travellers. Your TD will give you all the relevant details of the city and will inform you of the schedule for the following day.

The rest of the day is at leisure.

Depart southwards to Merida, capital of the ancient Lusitania Roman Province. Today´s highlight will be the visit to Alhambra Palace, the most special Spanish World Heritage Site. The ornately decorated domes and archways are a testament to the brilliance of Moorish craftsmen. Depart to “The Road of Chianti”. A Chianti wine is any wine produced in the Chianti region of central Tuscany. Sangiovese is the blend's dominant grape variety. Enjoy wine tasting in one of the classic vineyard and cellar.

Continue to Siena, one of the most important cities in medieval Europe. Its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is famous for “The Palio”, a horse race held twice a year in Piazza del Campo. Enjoy an Aperitivo in Piazza del Campo with local products and wines.

UNESCO collectively designated the Franciscan structures of Assisi as a World Heritage Site in 2000.
