Day 1 Airport Negombo

Arrival in Sri Lanka / Meet & Greet at the airport where you will meet your private guide.

You will then proceed to Negombo in your private car (approximately 30 minutes travel time) and check in at the resort. Later in the afternoon Explore the fishing Village and evening enjoy a BBQ Cooking session (Approx 2 hrs) (Type of spices and cooking methods differ from one location to the other).

Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2 Negombo Sigiriya

Enjoy breakfast at the resort.

You'll head to Sigiriya (approximately 3 hours travel time). You'll then proceed to the beautiful Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is consists of 1200 steps. The first part of the visit is a leisurely walk through the pleasure gardens. Then one starts to climb. There are two areas where one can take a break on the way up. The entire duration of the experience takes approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the speed at which you want to climb. Check in at the resort and enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure.

Day 3 Sigiriya Hiriwadunna Sigiriya

Enjoy breakfast before a fascinating 3-hour Sri Lankan village experience in Hiriwadunna. The journey includes a boat ride, tractor tour through paddy fields, and visits to plantations showcasing traditional farming. Along the way, savor refreshing stops for fruit slices and herbal drinks. End the tour with a cooking demonstration and a hearty meal served on lotus leaves.

Return to the resort for leisure in the evening.

Day 4 Sigiriya Passikudah

Start your day with breakfast at the resort. Following that, make your way to Passikudah, a charming coastal area about a 2-hour and 30-minute drive away.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the evening on leisure .

Day 5 Passikudah

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a Snorkelling and Coral Watching adventure in Kayankarney, renowned for its clear waters and marine life. The experienced guides will lead you through vibrant coral reefs, where you'll encounter diverse marine creatures, from colourful fish to majestic sea turtles. After the snorkelling experience, enjoy a delectable traditional Sri Lankan lunch featuring fresh seafood with picturesque ocean views. Alongside snorkelling, the guides will showcase a coral watching tour, highlighting the diversity of coral species and their role in the marine ecosystem. This tranquil ocean escapade is suitable for all ages and experience levels, ensuring a safe and memorable experience.

Return to the hotel for leisure in the evening.

Day 6 Passikudah Kandy

Enjoy breakfast at the resort.

Then travel for 4 hours heading to Kandy - a UNESCO World Heritage site. First, you'll visit Sri Dalada Maligawa or also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. The visit typically lasts 1 hour. First you walk towards the temple through the gardens. Your guide will buy you the entrance tickets. We recommend buying a lotus flower right at the entrance – 100 LKR per set. Your guide will walk you through the various chambers explaining the history and significance of the temple.

Check in at the resort in Kandy and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Conclude with a choice between a wholesome salad at a modern café or a refreshing pint at a colonial hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day relaxing. In the evening, experience a Sundown Seafood Dinner in a lamp-lit mud hut, a short drive from Galle. Arriving by tuk-tuk, you'll be greeted with a cold towel and a welcome drink. Witness the preparation of Sri Lankan delights, including versatile roti and iconic hoppers, while engaging with your hosts. Indulge in a feast of freshly barbecued seafood accompanied by rhythmic live music in the rustic ambiance of the mud hut. After breakfast at the resort, head to Colombo for a 2-hour journey. Check into a serene boutique hotel, once a traditional Jaffna family home. In the evening, experience a Jaffna Themed Dinner in the hotel's tranquil gardens.

Greeted with a local-style cocktail, immerse yourself in northern-inspired tales and flavors. Enjoy pulse-based starters, Mulligatawny broth, and an array of meat, fish, and vegetable curries, including the famous Jaffna Crab Curry. Conclude with modern renditions of traditional desserts.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

  • Travel on a specific airline of their choice
  • Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
  • Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
  • Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
  • Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
