Day 1 Madrid

Welcome to the Capital city of Spain. Upon arrival, private transfer by a luxury car with an English-speaking driver.

Overnight stay in Madrid at the Sercotel Gran Hotel Conde Duque or similar.

Day 2 Madrid

After buffet breakfast, enjoy a 2 hours private sightseeing tour with an English-speaking driver.

Meet the driver in your hotel and, by the end of this tour, you will have gained complete vision of the city and highlights of Madrid. We will visit the façade of the Royal Palace, the Sabatini Gardens and Campo del Moro. The church of San Francisco El Grande, the fountains of Paseo del Prado, the Toledo Bridge, Prado Museum, and Puerta de Alcalá are also good examples of this splendid style. We will finish in the Austrias neighborhood, the most historic atmosphere of Madrid where you can stroll through the narrow streets and local shops.

After the tour, you'll have time to enjoy a lunch (own expense) and to stroll down the city on you own.

Later, you will enjoy a Private tapas tour, wine & market experience for dinner.
The most inescapable element of Spanish cuisine is tapas, small snacks now popular all over the world. In all of Spain’s cities, towns and villages you will find bars, taverns, and even entire neighborhoods, specialized in tapas. Spending a day trying different tapas is the ideal way to experience Spanish culture. You will be escorted by a food and wine expert guide who will point out little-known cultural and gastronomic landmarks during the tour, as well as telling stories and answering queries, thus enriching and enlivening your experience of this vibrant and flavorful city.

After buffet breakfast, the morning is at leisure to enjoy the city.

In the afternoon, you will learn how to cook the most famous Spanish dishes: traditional seafood Paella. Visit a local market with the chef to buy ingredients, and take a walk through the old town. Sample some tasty tapas, make sangria, and watch as the chef prepares a paella for you to enjoy.

Day 4 Madrid Toledo Madrid

After buffet breakfast, you will enjoy a regular tour of Toledo.

Follow your local guide on a walking tour of the Historic City of Toledo, World Heritage City since 1986. Once Spain’s capital, it is a perfect mix of Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures. Learn about its fantastic heritage and see how the coexistence of cultures through the centuries influenced its current architectural style. Entrance to the Cathedral of Toledo is included. At the end of the tour, return to Madrid and free time for lunch.

In the late afternoon, mingle with locals in a Spanish tavern for dinner. There are hundreds of Taverns in Madrid where you can experience life the way locals do. If you do not know about Spanish food, all you need to do is to look around and see what others are eating. Live Spain like a Spaniard.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

Travel on a specific airline of their choice
Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
