The lodge is located in Farewell Harbour on Berry Island on 10 acres of beautifully forested land. With the exception of the lodge property and 3 adjoining acreages, Berry Island is within the border of world renowned Broughton Archipelago Marine Park, which is located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia with Queen Charlotte Strait to the west and Knight Inlet to the east. Farewell Harbour is a beautiful protected anchorage along the famed inside passage route to Alaska.

With its unparalleled hospitality, awe-inspiring surroundings, and a commitment to conservation, Farewell Harbour Lodge has been an oasis of tranquility, inviting visitors to embrace the wonders of nature and forge a deep connection with the untamed world.

The primary lodge building and common area features a comfortable lounge and dining room, bar and a large brick fireplace surrounded by large windows and a wrap around deck boasting spectacular views of the harbour with its south and west exposure (great sunsets!). The expansive decks continue as a boardwalk along the shore, leading to eight, private oceanside suites with ensuite bathrooms, gas fired stove and extra-long double beds. A ramp leads off the main lodge to our floating lodge below featuring four additional suites each with a private bathroom for twelve rooms in total. All lodge suites and common areas have unique design features incorporating natural cedar and local materials and art from the area that offer a distinctive, relaxing ‘west coast’ feel.

Farewell Harbour Lodge has been renowned for its diverse range of activities that allow guests to immerse themselves in the untamed beauty of its surroundings. From exhilarating wildlife encounters to serene explorations of the pristine wilderness, the lodge offers an array of experiences that cater to every adventurer's desire. Embark on guided kayaking expeditions through the glassy waters, where you can paddle alongside playful seals and marvel at the majesty of breaching whales. Set out on thrilling whale watching excursions, where expert guides unveil the secrets of the ocean and provide glimpses of orcas, humpbacks, and porpoises as they gracefully navigate the waves. For those seeking a more intimate encounter with nature, embark on guided hiking trails through ancient forests, where every step unveils the wonders of towering trees, cascading waterfalls, and an abundance of wildlife.

Farewell Harbour Lodge offers a variety of different types of bear viewing excursions in search of both Grizzly bears and Black bears. Bear viewing season runs from early June to mid October. Farewell Harbour Lodge does not use viewing platforms or utilize artificially created bear habitat to enhance the viewing opportunities. They prefer to seek out bears in their natural environment and view from the same eye level as the wildlife around. All small group sizes and operated by trained and knowledgable staff.

In some cases, we are the sole representative in Australia for the overseas travel operator. In other circumstances the product developed has been exclusively built for Entire Travel Group and can’t be found elsewhere.

What’s unique about Entire Travel Group Holiday Packages?

  • They are not group tours with set departures - they are pre-designed, purpose built, independent holiday packages full of unique and memorable experiences.
  • Our holiday packages have been exclusively built for us in collaboration with our handpicked suppliers, who also offer full on-ground support for the clients.
  • We are offering unique travel experiences which cannot be found elsewhere.

Our motto for Independent Holiday Packages is start your holiday when and with who you want!

Our Independent Holiday Packages are NOT group tours with set departure dates. Group Tours have specific set departure dates, and of course, you are travelling with unknown passengers in a coach. At Entire Travel Group, our focus is Independent Holiday Packages. Available daily, they are pre-designed, purpose built, packaged itineraries full of memorable experiences delivered by our hand-picked local partners.

Our holidays suit every demographic, from couples to singles, to retirees to families and everyone else in between.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

  • Travel on a specific airline of their choice
  • Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
  • Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
  • Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
  • Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.

For more information please visit - Before you travel | Entire Travel Group

How does a Travel Agent make a booking?

Please visit the Entire Travel Group's Agent Portal. We are here to support our industry partners with a range of informative updates, marketing collateral for campaigns and a reward & recognition program.

How do I start a Booking?

  • On any page that has Book Now simply follow the booking process.
