Fiji's Coral Coast
The Coral Coast is the long stretch of coastline between Suva and Sigatoka on the main island of Viti Levu and is home to many large resorts. Most of the big resorts that are located along the Coral Coast generally offer everything you need, from beautiful large swimming pools to multiple restaurants, bars, spa facilities and plenty of activities that you can choose from.
Along the Coral Coast, the reef is very close to the shore which makes its very tidal. The reef is exposed for long lengths of time (except for some of the lagoons) meaning it’s only possible to swim and snorkel off the beach at high tide. During low tide, why not spend your time swimming in the stunning pools located within your resort!
Getting to your resort
Getting to your accommodation in the Coral Coast can take anywhere between 45minutes to 3 hours depending on where you’re staying. If your flight arrives late or you feel like getting to your resort quicker, we recommend opting for a private transfer to your resort, as the shared transfers often stop at other resorts along the way down the Coral Coast and can take a long time.
The quicker you get there, the quicker you will be checked in and having your first beachside cocktail!
Most resorts are quite spread-out along the Coral Coast so you are more likely to eat at the resort you stay at, majority of these resorts offer great meal plans which are worth pre purchasing as they are generally cheaper than paying for it when you get there. This is a great way to keep the costs down by ensuring everything is taken care of before you leave, allowing you to completely budget your costs on things that matter like beachside cocktails and Fijian souvenirs!
We usually recommend our guests to choose at least the half board meal plan so you can enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the resort, go on an adventure in the afternoon such as tour to a nearby village or a sigatoka river safari then come back and enjoy a delicious island dinner at one of your resorts great restaurants!
