Overview

You'll be taken on a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery, from the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley, through the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau before arriving in the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park.

From Jasper you experience one of the most scenic drives in the world along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. En-route, stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier.

From Lake Louise, a half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River before arriving in Banff.

In each of the mountain tours of Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff, you will have two night stays in each to truly immerse yourself in the majestic beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

In Western Canada, rail travel and Fairmont properties have always gone hand in hand. On this 14 day itinerary, you will experience the timeless luxury of the Fairmont properties in Vancouver, Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff.

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is known as the 'Castle in the City', symbolizing timeless elegance and luxury since 1939. Holding a prime downtown location, minutes away from Vancouver's biggest attractions including Granville Island, Robson Street shopping, Stanley Park Seawall, Vancouver Aquarium, Gastown, and Science World.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a beacon of rustic-themed elegance. The 283-hectare (700-acre) collection of chandelier-trimmed cabins, cedar chalets and exceptional amenities that have made this gem a beloved Fairmont vacation spot for royalty and regular folks alike.

Hold up a photo of a turquoise glacier lake surrounded by mountains, and most Canadians will assume it was taken at Lake Louise. This 4.8km long glacial lake’s jewel-toned water is a postcard staple, as is the magnificent Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise that stands on its northeastern shore.

The Fairmont Banff Springs, also known as the “Castle in the Rockies", is nestled in the heart of Banff National Park. This magnificent Scottish baronial castle-style hotel and spa stands in the heart of Banff surrounded by majestic mountain beauty, and is only 1 kilometre from Banff town centre.

Exceptional service and adventurous spirit are longstanding traditions at both the Fairmont properties and Rocky Mountaineer and they await you on this awe-inspiring 14 day itinerary.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

  • Travel on a specific airline of their choice
  • Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
  • Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
  • Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
  • Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.

For more information please visit - Before you travel | Entire Travel Group
